I bought this to replace my pre-cat O2 sensor when replacing my catalytic converter in my 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T. This is exactly the same sensor used as OE, costs about half what the dealership wants for the same part, and uses the exact same connector to plug in to communicate with your ECU. No splicing needed. The cable is longer than the OE cable, but it can easily be tucked away in the connection box (see attached photo). I was also able to borrow an oxygen sensor installation/removal tool from Advance Autoparts to use to secure this one to the new cat!

While an OEM part (Bosch supplies VW with these parts, which VW just stamps and upsells), this is not compatible with the 2002 VW Jetta because the wire is too short. A different Bosch model, available at all the other auto parts stores (for some reason), has a longer cord which reaches to the pre-cat plug in. Unfortunately it's about twice as much as this part.

Matches up to my LC-1. Great price and accurate sensor.
I got about 3 years out of my last one when used in a non-leaded weekend warrior. Accurate up til the last week before the heater circuit burned up.
Its nice that these advanced sensors have become standard equipment, it allows me(you) the enthusiast to utilize this great product without spending an arm and a leg.
Should also note this is the same sensor used by Mustang dynos, for those of you looking for a replacement without paying Mustang $150.

After ordering, wait a few minutes, then call to make sure it was actually on the shelf. Mine wasn't when we got there and had to drive to another store to pick it up. Not a big problem, but call first anyway. Thanks

a versatile O2 sensor, used in many wideband systems. works great, except doesn't last too long when running leaded race gas. found the best deal at Advance.
Comments about Bosch Wideband Air/Fuel Oxygen Sensor:
Exact fit as the OEM O2 sensor on my 04 Audi S4. The only difference I found is these ones come with longer cables.
