I recently ordered 2 National Hub Assemblies because the cheaper NTP brand that I had installed just over a year ago went bad. Not only was there a lot of slop in the bearings, but also my ABS system was engaging every time the vehicle just about came to a stop. This time I had my Brother In-Law who is a certified mechanic help me put the National hubs on. He started by removing everything needed to the point of installing the new hubs. He then told me that if I had followed the proper procedure for torquing the axle nut, I would not be replacing them now. He estimated that I probably over torqued the 2 nuts by about 60 or 70 pounds. When he asked if I used a torque wrench, I told him I did not because I thought there was a positive stop that would not allow the bearings to be compressed too much. He told me that I killed the hubs, and I was lucky that they lasted as long as they had. He also stated that even the cheaper hub assemblies have to conform to MVSS (motor vehicle safety standards). He said while it is possible to get a bad Hub from any manufacturer, the ones that customers complain have not lasted very long, and they installed them on their own, were not installed properly (most of the time not torqued by a calibrated wrench). So long NTP hubs, please forgive me for sending you much too soon to that bone yard in the sky.

How do you rate a wheel bearing/hub assembly a week after you bought it? The proof is whether it lasts or not. My last replacements lasted 25 months. Hope these last longer. Ordering and installing was easy, other than that I can't say at this point but I am reviewing this part to get Advance Auto off my back.

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:
Installed easily in 45 minutes in my garage. The ABS sensor cable came with all the mounting plastic pegs so I didn't need to worry about using the old flimsy and worn out pegs. I installed it and went on a 400 mile trip for work the next day. Drove like new and no noise! I hope it last longer than the year warranty it comes with.

This part fit exactly, right down to the cable clamps on the ABS cable. Got 20% off for ordering online and picking up instore which made a Good value even better!! While I can't comment on durability yet (only have 500 miles on them so far) they certainly can't be any worse than the OEM parts!

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:
Needed two hubs to rebuild the front end of my 2002 Bravada. After searching once again Advance had the best price and the hubs were in stock at my local store. Hubs meet or beet OE quality, were a snap to install and are performing flawlessly. Searching and finding the right part on line, confirming in stock availability and getting an on line discount were added bonuses!

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:
I HAD TO RETAP ALL 3 OF THE MOUNTING HOLES. JUST GLAD THAT I OWN A TAP AND DIE SET OR I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE THE INSTALL. FOR A PART THAT COST OVER $100.00 ONE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO EXTRA WORK IN ORDER FOR THE PART TO BE INSTALLED.

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:
Do some research before you dive in. I looked up the torques on the axle nuts if you over torque them you can lock the bearing up and you will be replacing it in a year. Make sure you have the right tools. Put some grease on the axle threading when you are sliding the hub into place. Make sure you have a breaker bar you will use it.
