I hate going back for parts after I start working on my vehicles. This could have been a problem so I chose to replace it with a new one just in case. The price was right so it was a no brainer.

In the end this worked in a pinch, was available right away and was cheap. Per another reviewer I looked heavily at the angle installed and decided to add 2 small washers to make it perfect. I also add a small amount of RTV Gasket maker to the o ring area to aid in sealing. I allowed it to dry for a few hours.

As the other reviewer stated, this isn't exactly like the OE part, but it was the only choice at Advance Auto. I replaced my water pump, and the original tube needed replacing too. The only thing holding this tube in place was an o-ring and the bracket that bolted to the engine. I "sealed" it with the same gasket sealer I used on the water pump, but would have preferred a stronger epoxy (or JB Weld?). The bracket on the tube didn't line up correctly, so I had to widen the slot on it in order to get the bolt in.

Needed to replace mine due to leaking and rust. New part was not made to spec correctly in that the bracket was welded to the pipe at the wrong offset. This would cause the tube to angle back toward the engine and not to seal properly with the water pump when the bolt was tightened. Repaired by installing a flat washer (not provided) under the bracket. I don't like the OE design of this to start with, but motormite did not copy it right, making it worse. Maybe yours will be better, but I would recommend reusing the OE if possible.
