Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Universal Fit C.V. Joint Boot Kit Outer up to 3.58 Inch Diameter:

Compared to OEM this replacement CV Joint boot is very thin walled. I would recommend finding a OEM, dealer or elsewhere.

How do I go about replacing the CV Boot on a 1994 Mazda Protege. Is it complicated or easy? I am decent at auto repairs, but I am wondering if I need to remove the wheel, brakes, dust shield, etc to put the new boot on??

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

Mine are in need of replacement but I don't get a squeaking noise. I hear what sounds like clicking, If you are getting a different type of noise than that I would also say get it checked first by a pro before spending money on something that isn't needed.
