Comments about Walker Universal Catalytic Converter:
True it was not an exact fit. However, The muffler shop cut the old one out, made and fitted this new one with whatever bend and cut of pipe to make the new cat fit - without leaking for [$] ...In the Advance Auto Parts network, - at least in the region we are in - the direct fit model was some [$] pricing without installation - and proved to not be in stock anywhere. [$] installed was a good price for me.

Comments about Walker Universal Catalytic Converter:
I ordered the one w/o flanges for my daughters 2003 Ford Focus LX SOHC 2.0L that requires welding. I figured I could save $120 by welding it myself with my mig welder. It's not an exact fit though. On this product the in port and out port are 180 degree out, like a regular muffler. The OEM product on the out board side is actually at a 45 degree angle. I could have still used it, but it required some jimmy rigging and will hang a little lower under the car. So check the fit before going through all the trouble to remove. I'm going to just spend the extra $120 to get with flanges for an exact fit.

Comments about Walker Universal Catalytic Converter:
This converter was welded for me at a local [...] for $80. No problem at all. Worked the first minute, whereas the Eastern catalytic piece that I had install 1 year ago -- never worked at all (the engine light has been on the entire year). Very pleased.

Comments about Walker Universal Catalytic Converter:
I just wanted to replace the catalytic converter in my Saturn SC2 99 and this was the cheapest choice. It was easy to install and the car has recovered a nice roaring sound and it seems to have improved its power. Good buy. I recommended.

This product is listed as an exact fit for my 2003 Ford Windstar van; however, the actual part is a "y" pipe with two banks. If one of the two banks are bad, can I replace it with this part? Or, if both banks are bad, can I replace each of them with one of these? This option is still quite a bit cheaper than purchasing a "y" connector with two banks for a vehicle with 270K miles. Any advice other than those options would be greatly appreciated!1 answer
