Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Transmission Line Connector with 3/8 Tube x 5/8-18 Inch Thread:

Recently had to replace the radiator. The mechanic did not change these fitting where the trans lines attach to raiator. The rubber o-ring was old and stated leaking when both lines were moved for replacement of radiator. This was the only way to fix the problem, I tried new o-rings by themselves and they failed. Changed the whole part and was done.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Transmission Line Connector with 3/8 Tube x 5/8-18 Inch Thread:

1998 Astro. Had a slight leak on transmission cooler line that enters the cooler on the radiator and after investigating I found that the previous owner or mechanic had tried to fix it by installing a poor fitting O-ring. Why take a chance as the cost of the whole fitting was very reasonable, so I replaced both and no more leaks.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Transmission Line Connector with 3/8 Tube x 5/8-18 Inch Thread:

Purchase this after I damaged the o-ring in the stock fitting from removing the return line, after performing a transmission flush at home. This took 30 seconds to install and prevented any further leaking.

                  A:

No, this part is a quick disconnect fitting. The line end has a barb on it the keeps it in the fitting. The spring clip goes behind the barb to hold it in.

                  A:

I believe that you have little clips that hold the lines in place. If so then you will need a little pick, kind of like a dentist tool to get them out. If this is what you have, I recommend replacing the little clips.
