Perfect fit for my 98 Ford Ranger. Installation was a breeze, and my throttle/idle responce is much better. No problems after two weeks of driving. Great product.

Comments about BWD Throttle Position Sensor:

A perfect replacement for my 97 Ford Ranger 2.3L. It does turn in a clockwise direction and, lucky for me, that's the direction my factory one did. It fits perfectly and is an exact replacement for OEM. For anyone else with a Ranger with the TPS on the rear of the throttle body (right up against the firewall), it's FAR FAR easier to just take off the entire throttle body. 4 clearly visible bolts versus trying to blindly work a tiny screwdriver with no space. Plus it gives you an opportunity to clean off the throttle body blade. Seems like more work, but will probably end up being quicker...and certainly less frustrating.

Comments about BWD Throttle Position Sensor:

This item rotates opposite the one I needed to replace. It is not usable on a 2003 Ford Taurus V6 DOHC. Parts numbers are very confusing. Not compatible even though on-line website said it would work.

Comments about BWD Throttle Position Sensor:

The TPS - EC3025 fit the carb body OK, but the rotor moved in a clockwise direction from the stop... The orginal Ford rotor moved in a counter-clockwise direction.. The EC3025P immediately threw an error code(P1120).. .. I was in a bind, needed it today, so I had to purchase the right one from a competitor, at very nearly the same price.. Installed it and all is well...

The throttle position sensor could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis. For further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.

                  A:

The Throttle Position Sensor is located on the throttle body, opposite the throttle cable. There will be 3 wires going to the TPS, a 5V reference, a ground, and an output. There is no need to hook the TPS to a computer.
