Thought we were going to have to buy a complete steering knuckle on my son's Dakota but we checked the Chrysler service bulletins and found that we could helicoil the brake slider bolt holes. This is a real savings as new Knuckles are over $500 then throw in new ball joints the rod end and an alignment. The fix was easy just be sure the drill and tap are perpendicular to the knuckle when you start. The whole repair took less than a half hour. We had the deliver at home option it only took a day to get the Helicoil kit.
