This product is very cheap and will end up costing you more money in the long run. Spend the extra to get the one that will last. I bought this and installed it and 18 months later it failed. Costing me more in damages. This product can't be from the U.S. its very cheap.

This was the first time for me replacing and pressing in ball joints and everything went well.. Advance lets you purchase a ball joint installation kit to use to install the ball joint and then you can return the kit for a full refund, basically a tool rental for free. Thanks advance.

bought this part to get rid of a vibration problem in the front end of the car. It was easy to install. I did need the ball joint press tool. I rented it from the store. Simply pressed the old one out and pressed the new one in. worked like a charm. the front end is tight now and no vibration.

Replaced both my right and left ball joint with this part. It fit. That is the only good thing, because it failed with less than 2 miles on it. Thus had to replace it again. Buy the moog... Do not waste your time as I did.

Yes, all joints are pressed into the lower control arm with a hydraulic press. There are ways to press the old ones out and new ones in, but they involve specialized tools.

I have a 1995 Lincoln Continental with a 4.6 V8. I have a repair manual and a shop service manual for this vehicle. Both books say that the lower ball joint cannot be replaced. Both say you have to replace the lower control arm. Advance Auto list a ball joint, S-104217, as a replacement. Can I just change the ball joint without changing the lower control arm?
