I didn't expect it to be so large. I suppose i should have measured it out but the size 3 and 3/8 inches didn't sound that big. It was difficult finding a spot to place it that wasn't a hindrance to anything else in the dash and steering column area. the hookups were pretty easy though, except for trying to find a wire to use for the illumination; am still working on that one.

I bought the tach for my 1966 mustang and it works great. I mounted it on the left side of the steering colum. It looks nice and function as it should. The wiring was very simple but a test light is a must. Over all I gave it five stars but I think that some type of clamp should have been included for mounting it on my round steering colum. I had to use a metal hose clamp that looks a little tacky in a nicely restored mustang.

This unit Sunpro Super Tach II 3 3/8" - White Face & Chrome Bezel, Part No. CP7903 is designed for use on twelve (12) volt negative (-) ground four (4) cycle automotive type engines. It is not designed for use on positive (+) ground electrical systems, two (2) cycle engines, aircraft or marine applications. It is compatible with most automotive ignition systems including standard or electronic distributors, distributorless (DIS) and most aftermarket systems (not magnetos). This tachometer is designed to work with these systems, however proper connection to them is important.

These tachometer gauges usually come with directions on how to install them. Usually they
will have four wires attached to the gauge, two red, two black. The two black wires are
usually grounds although it may only have one black wire upon which the other wire will be
for the backlight of the gauge if applicable. One of the red wires connects to the coil wire
that goes to the distributor distributor, while the other is wired into the ignition wire
