Replaced all 8 on 2001 F-150 with a 5.4 they were on for about 8,000 miles before the first one quit.I have added about 15,000 more miles and 3 more have quit. The first one that quit I replaced with a B/W and it has given me no problems, the rest that quit I also replaced with B/W. Can't say I noticed any proformance increase with them before they quit either.

I replaced two original Motorcraft coils. I installed them two weeks ago. Today is 4/7/2013. So far they are performing well. If I experience any issues, I will update this review.

Comments about Accel Late-Model Ford Super Coils:
Failure of the OEM COPs is unpredictable but with 8 to deal with, once the first one went at about 110,000 miles I've lost 3 more in the next 20,000 miles. Replaced the last 2 with Accel COPs with great results.
The price is excellent compared to OEM replacement. I now keep a new COP in my truck all the time so I can just swap out the next OEM unit that fails without having to deal with running on 7 cylinders if the next failure comes at a bad time or far from home.
Would be happier if the warranty was longer but so far I haven't had any quality concerns or performance issues.

This is a direct replacement for the factory coil on plug ignition system, fits perfect. High quality part priced below the factory part. I wanted to stay away from the real cheap replacements.

Why does this part show that it will fit a 4.6 4v motor? The 4.6 4v Accel number is 140034. This part number will only work with 4.6 2v motors, such as an f-150, or mustang gt. Perhaps the company should look into this, as there is a large demand for high performance 4v parts.1 answer
