Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:
The threaded portion of the tie rod end was about an inch shorter than the original. It seemed to adjust properly. When I sold parts, the manager told us to never sell this part to shops, only to individuals. I am a little uneasy about having installed a lower quality steering part on my car but finances forced me to try it. We will see how well it works. Maybe it will make a stop gap until I can afford a MOOG.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:
Tie rod was an exact fit for the original, shape was slightly different but that did not affect the performance or fit of the part. Kit came with a new jam nut for the inner tie rod which I did not change as I used the old one to help mark the position for installing the new tie rod. Kit came with a castellated nut, washer, and cotter pin. The inside diameter of the washer was much too large to be used on the stud, so I had to use a washer I had laying around the garage instead. Other than that, it was a fairly easy install. The stud spun when I tried to tighten the castellated nut, a C-clamp clamping the tie rod and steering knuckle together was an easy fix for that. Now all that's left is to get the alignment checked. Good luck!

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:
put this on my van and had to unbolt it again later on in order to remover the axle, when going to retighten it, the shaft kept turning also, was unable to tighten bolt, ended up having to cut it off and buy a new one, so once its on the first time thats it! you wont be able to take it off and put it back on.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:
THis part is not made correctly for the Grand Prix 2000 SE, the shaft bevels too soon, and is too log, I had to put 5 washers on it to be able to use it, and it is squzzing the boot so will most likely bust again and have to repalce it.
DEFINETLY NOT RECOMENDED FOR THIS MODEL CAR!!!

A:
It will need to be greased. For help with your project, I recommend getting a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. It should be able to help you with detailed instructions on how to do many things.
