The starter fit as an exact replacement and works fine. If you are replacing the starter on a Saturn, the top bolt can be tricky. It is pretty much stick the socket with an extension up their until you find the bolt head. Then when putting it back in, feel around and hope you can find the hidden hole. Contrary to a manual, it can and needs to be done from below.

      Comments about Worldwide Starter:

I bought this starter to replace a defective starter on my son's 2000 Saturn SL2 with nearly 150k miles. Everything you read about the top bolt of the starter being hard to reach on these cars is true. I taped the bolt to the socket so I didn't lose the bolt on top of the starter during installation and then just felt around until I found the mounting hole. That's not a starter problem though. Other than that, installation is easy and the starter bolts in place fine. Reconnect the wires and fire it up. I only put it in a week ago but it works fine everytime. The lifetime warranty convinced me to buy this over another starter they had so I expect (hope) that it holds up the few more years we plan to keep this car.

The starter fit well in my 2001 Saturn coupe. The only problem I experienced was reaching the top bolt. I think this difficulty is unavoidable.

This came to me refurbished. I can tell. Sounds like it's killing something every time it starts up. But it works. Once or twice it would not start the car on the first key turn, but the second turn always (so far)works the start the engine.

The replacement starter works fine. Like all starters installation requires a little patience. You can't see the top bolt. You have to feel around until you find the bolt head. You have to use the same method of finding the solenoid screw since it is on the opposite side of where it was on the OEM starter. It took about 90 minutes to make the switch. You have to jack the car up at least a foot in order to get clearance to put your arms in the opening behind the engine.
