Hardest Part was removing the Battery tray to get to the starter..

First obvious result is that the engine doesn't start. You check the battery and if it is 12.4 to 12.6 it is usually the starter. Another way to tell is if you listen carefully there is only one click when the engine doesn't start. If it is several clicks it's usually because of a weak battery.

                                    • A:

When your engine won't turn over when you turn the ignition on, it may be because
                                      1. The battery is too weak,
                                      2. There is a problem with the battery cable and insufficient electricity is delivered by the battery cables to the starter and other devices,
                                      3. The solenoid is bad and won't turn on the starter motor or push the pinion out.
                                      4. The starter motor is burned out.

So if you test the battery, electrical connections are good and not corroded or loose, and everything else electrical works, then you are left with the solenoid and the attached motor. Most likely the motor is burned out or the solenoid is not functioning properly so you can't turn over your engine.

Once you have eliminated the electrical system/battery, then you have to start dismantling and getting the old starter/solenoid out. You can also test this with jumper cables to see if it works /spins the pinion.
