those who have slightly older small pick-up trucks (rangers, s-10's, tacomas etc...) know what i mean when i say a good front shock is very important for how the truck acts and functions. When the shock goes bad the stopping becomes more harsh the bumpy roads become more harsh the over all handling becomes more harsh. I tried to correct it first with a high end rancho shock which only made the bumps in the road unbearable. It was way to stiff. This is the next step up from the cheapy budget shock and it has been the cure all so far! The biggest notice so far is the handling. My ranger is by no means a corner carving corvette but with these shocks the handling is greatly improved. When i brake hard the nose of the truck no longer nose dives! And while the bumps are greatly improved, you can still feel them. But then again with a ranger or similar its just the way the truck is!! This is why I call them the best bang for the buck shock. The expensive shocks are just overkill. To stiff to be comfortable.

The Upper Mount Threaded Post and Bushing/Washer Design requires you to utilized all of the thread to get the lower bushing to become snug against the trucks upper mount housing. It would appear that if you get any unusual wear of the upper bushings it could result in a loose shock condition as there is no further capability to tighten that fit.

They sold me these and I have coil springs. After about an hour I realized something was not right. I took them back and they realized what they did, and sold me the correct ones.

Comments about Monroe Sensa-Trac Light Truck Shock Absorber:
These Monroe shocks are great. We put on a 01road Ford Explorer. In the rear we have the self leveling shocks and those can take a heavy load without sacrificing ride quality. The front monroes def make a diff. Never and I mean NEVER get the yellow gas matic cheap Monroe shocks. These are priced well. Quality is great. Cant ask for more on shocks for this price. The handle great on the interstate and dampen well on rough roads.

Comments about Monroe Sensa-Trac Light Truck Shock Absorber:
Bought these to replace the originals on my 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, they had 75,00 miles on them. Had no trouble with the replacement. I did both front and rear. I was well pleased with the quality (American Made.) Ended up able to do all four under 2 hours total. They were a good fit, all necessary parts were included (replacement bolts, nuts, spacers and even the rubber bushings) After the installation be sure to test drive it and go back and check for any movement of the nuts. I am enjoying a more controlled and solid ride now, and much better handling. Really fast and free shipping saved a trip out to the store.

Comments about Monroe Sensa-Trac Light Truck Shock Absorber:
Purchased these online using an online discount code(saved $50.00)on front & rear shocks + Monroe offered $25.00 rebate when purchasing their products. Installed these on a 2003 Ranger 4X4 to replace original equipment. Much noticable improvement in ride. I drive mainly streets & roads but would not hesitate going off road. Now feel all four wheels are making contact with the road at all times!

A little stiff, but great for keeping tires on the road and not in the air. Would be better ride when carrying a load.
