I've used K&N filters in cars, trucks, & motorcycles. There may be some fuel efficiency, but that's not why I put them in. There is a noticeable improvement in performance, and the filters are reusable. They pay for themselves.

Typical K&N quality product. I bought this filter for my Ford F-150 XLT 5.4 L after having good results with K&N filters on my Harleys. Having a reusable performance filter is great, plus it uses the same cleaning kit as the filters on my bikes. Overall, i would recommend purchasing and using a K&N filter for anyone wanting a quality filter at a good price. I'm not sure if the truck is getting better gas mileage because I just put it on, but it did help on my bikes and the truck seems to idle smoother and run better.

These filter are awesome. Cost 3x as much as a factory filter but is reusable and will pay you back if you keep the car / truck a few years.

I use K/N filters in all of my vehicles. This addition to the F150 is recent but I am sure it will perform like all the others. No more going to the store for another paper filter. After 2 paper filters, you are paying more for an inferior quality product and you continue to pay if you replace your air filter every 15k. Maintenance on these things is a breeze. You just take the filter out, spray it with some Purple Power or other cleaner, hose it down with some water and if you have a compressor- hit it with some air and it is like new.

This is my third one. The only draw back is you have to wait until it dries after cleaning it before you can reoil it. This can be time consuming and you can't use the car without a filter.
