Q:
will using this in my boat all the time to start break anything in the motor1 answer

A:
No, the Sunpro Remote Starter Switch - Part No. CP7853 will not cause any damage to the starter. However, if the vehicle is equipped with an engine “HOT” indicator, the lamp test circuit which is in the ignition system could be damaged if the remote starter switch is energized with the ignition switch in the “OFF” position. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.Q:

how do you use this on manual transmission where you have to push down the clutch to start?2 answers
A:
A realy heavy rock on the clutch should do the trickA:
The remote starter connects at the starter. As such, it bypasses the clutch switch. It does not require the ignition to be switched on for cranking, but does require the ignition to be on for start (unless you provide an alternative current to the ignition coil (ignition system) "hot-wire"). being able to crank the engine with the ignition off is particularly useful for positioning the engine at top dead center, or as otherwise required (for manual valve adjustment for example).Q:
I was told that keeping the ignition switch in the "on" position while the car is not running will burn up my ignition coil. Is there something I should disconnect while using a remote starter to bump the crank, that will keep that from happening ?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
I have never heard of the ignition coil being burnt out from leaving the key in the on position. I know that doing that will drain your battery. Using this, you do not need to have the key in the on position anyway. This bypasses everything.Q:

CUSTOMER CARE

Where do you hook up the wires to attempt remote start?3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Allows one person to start or crank engine from under the hood. Ideal for compression test or bumping engine onto TDC (top dead center) timing marks for valve, distributor or camshaft adjustment.A:
one to the positive on the starter solenoid incoming positive wire (from battery) the other to the positive wire going to the starter. the ground will be its own track and go through the transmission bell housing or block depending on the application. this is a whole lot easier than dancing back and forth from the driver's seat.
