Q:
my jeep stalls and when i checked it with my friends computer, some codes came up 6 codes. 1st was o2 sensor no good.(but i replaced it when the check engine light came on) 2nd number 1 plug not firing, and the rest i forgot. When i asked i good mechanic i know he said that if the codes are right the thing should not run at all.

This information would help us to assist you in a better way. Yes, the replacement Engine Control Computer (ECC) has to be programmed before you install it, with the exact software calibration for your vehicle. This requires a scan tool with programming capability and software to install. You need to go to the dealer or an independent shop with programming capability to have it configured.
