Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Distributor:
I tried 2 of them, first no ingnition at all, put old 250k distributor back in, no problem, so I tried another. It ran about 10 hours, failed, I had to be towed off the road. Would run again cold untill it got hot. failure code 42 from ECM. put old distributor back in. No problems. So not an ECM or wiring short problem. DO NOT BUY this REMAN product

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Distributor:
Wonderful part! Needed a new distributor for my 1990 Iroc Camaro. Old one was rusted and falling apart causing rough idle and stalling when stopped. After 10 minutes pulling the old and installing this distributor then checking the timing, I went for a test drive. Since then she has a smooth idle, increased mpg and raw power and has proven to be one of the best reman-ed products I have ever purchased.

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Distributor:
My original distributor had a dust cover around the pick-up area, my replacement didn't but that's no biggie. Sadly these are rebuilt in Mexico, but it worked just fine. Be sure to lube the shaft to reduce heat as suggested in installation paper inside the box.

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Distributor:
Seems to be a good improvement over the OEM design. It looked different enough that I was worried at first it was the right unit, but it appears they redesigned the unit to be totally solid state instead of the strange moving pickup in the original distributor.

A:
We are unable to diagnose vehicles on the website but what i can recommend is you take it to your local mechanic.Q:
Will a bad distributor let the engine run perfect but cause it to cut out when the weather is very warm and the truck has been driven for 25 - 30 miles. Truck runs fine in cool weather and on short trips in hot weather. When it begins to cut out, it gets worse the further you drive it. Cat Conv has been replaced as well as fuel pump, filter, dist. cap, rotor, and wires and timing has been adjusted. Ever seen a distributor cause this condition.1 answer
