Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Body Control Computer:
I read a previous review of a guy saying he plugged it up and his car started. My first plan was to get the new bcm and bring to a shop.(more money)I got the bcm, plugged it up, did the keyrelearn steps (which can be found online, google it) and in 30 minutes my car was running.I do see airbag light on so the bcm may still need some additional programming by the dealer but atleast my car runs now.

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Body Control Computer:
the passlock sensor caused a problem that shorted the bcm. vehicle sat in driveway for over two months while i tried to get information about weather the cardone module or any other module new or rebuilt would START the car and save a very expensive wrecker bill to take vehicle to dealer for programming. [...]. most of the programming from the previous vehicle remained in the module. the only things that does not work are the interior lights when door is open and the airbag light is on. radio is locked but due to power failure not the bcm.

Q:
if i install this cardone BCM1 answer
A:
bob; i had the same problem on my 02 impala when the passlock sensor went bad and shorted the bcm. vehicle would not start or even make a sound because of the security system disabling the starter and fuel injecters. if your car has the passlock 2 system like mine, i would suggest replacement of the passlock sensor which is located on the ignition lock cylinder. this sensor is usually to blame for bcm failure. the cardone bcm i bought started my car after doing relearn procedure. the old bcm would not accept relearn. the relearn is simple to do if you don't know already. the parts guys in your town should be able to help you with that. the replacement bcm still had programming in it. i do not think the dealer needs the old module, they have all the information they will need to program the new bcm by using tech 2 programmer entering the vin number of your car. hope this helps.Q:
i am having problem with vehicle no start.security light is on,vehicle refuses re-learn procedure. i am certain there is a problem in the bcm. my question is will the cardone bcm start my car without programming at dealer? your advertisement for this bcm says 100% functional. thank you for your help.2 answers

I would suggest you to have a guidance from a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.A:
Kevin the King of Auto Parts from AAP was absolutely correct when he said this computer should be ready to work out of the box. My car would not start. would not relearn, lights were on. after installation of the Cardone computer, did relearn and car started right up. everything is working as they should be. All I need to do now is get the radio unlocked. Thank you very much Kevin the King of Auto Parts from AAP. You saved me a trip to the den of outlaws. You deserve a raise.Q:
Does this item have to be programmed by a dealer if I can reset the theft system with the key on/off precedure.2 answers
