Exact fit and easy install for '98 Wrangler 2.5L. Total swap time is about 30 min. The four-banger runs MUCH better than it has for a long time. This engine has a MANUAL belt tensioner so you have to back the tensioner adjustment bolt out to allow the pulley to loosen up to remove the belt. Don't over-tighten it afterwards. Make sure you disconnect the battery before starting the job. And if your battery is low, charge it with a charger instead of forcing the new alternator to over-work right out of the box. I almost always use Advance Auto. The've got good stuff and the prices are generally the best. Very happy with this unit after a couple weeks and a couple hundred miles.

This Alternator is a perfect fit for my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. It only took about 30 minutes to install. It works great, no noise and was very simple to install. I have only had it for about two weeks and no problems.
