Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber

Monroe Reflex monotube shocks are specifically engineered to provide better handling, control and performance for light trucks and SUV's. These shocks feature a high-pressure gas charge that separates the unit internal oil and nitrogen to provide additional spring rate, helping to maximize damping efficiency and control. To further enhance ride control characteristics, Monroe Reflex monotube shocks include a hydraulic lockout to cushion the impact as the vehicle suspension is fully extended.

- Free Floating Dividing Piston: Separates shock fluid from high-pressure gas charged
- All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
- High Pressure Nitrogen Gas Charged: High-pressure charge (240-260 PSI) provides a quicker response for excellent vehicle control.
- Shock Housing: High strength to resist damage and provide longer service life.
- Nitrocarburized Rod: For long service life.
- Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.

I bought the Reflex monoshocks to replace the original ones that were worn out. They were easy to install, with lots of information on the net. It took me about 2 hours to remove old shocks and install new ones. I was able to remove all four without lifting the truck. Replacement consisted of bolting in the top end of the new shocks, then lifting up the truck frame until the lower end of the shock aligned with suspension. I'm very satisfied after about 1000 miles of use, and would highly recommend them.

I did my research and talk to a certified mechanic. I was suggested to get KYB Shocks, but after my research of people that used KYB and Monroe, they liked Monroe better. I put them on my 2004 GMC Sierra extended cab Z71 and rides pretty good.

My 00 Z71 handles so much better with these shocks less body roll very tight handling in corners plus a nicer ride on bumpy roads & in off road use highly recommended product.

While these are cost prohibitive to the regular joe, it is my opinion you get what you pay for,these are recommended for the Z71 4x4 package and well worth the cash. I used the Advance online discount and have sent in the monroe coupon for even more cash back, we will see how that works out. The front shocks were in stock at my local store the rear shocks were shipped from monroe in three days. I am quite happy.

Bought these shocks and were a perfect fit both front and back. Wanted OE and these are what I came up with. Truck rides just like new and Chicago is some of the tuffest driving and wear and tear on a car. Wouldnt do it any different if I had the chance. They were also an easy install the hardest part was getting the old ones off my truck.

Thanks to everyone who rated,and gave useful information about these shocks. After reading over many different reviews discussing all the different types of shocks,at ALL the auto part retailers I decided to give these shocks a try. I am very pleased with them. The truck rides like it should firm but not like a dump truckfirm. More like a performance firm. The price is a little higher than regular stock replacement shocks,but when you see the size difference these shocks are larger in diameter. The change in the trucks character was instant. Again thanks so much for the reviews,they helped me to make a informed choice I am happy with.
