The jeep wrangler x only came with a dana 30 front axle and a dana 35 rear axle. The gaskets they try to give you are for a d44 front or rear which only came in the rubicons and in the rear of some models with the tow package. They have a 8.5" ring gear where as the dana 30 and 35 have a 7.59" ring gear. I had them look up what the rear would be for a 2000 cherokee and got the dana 35 part number that I needed. Then I looked up the part number for the front axle which is a dana 30 on my iPhone. They have it wrong in there system or felpro doesn't include the newer wranglers as needing the same part number.

Listen: RTV WILL NOT seal differentional oil properly. USE A NEW GASKET for 5 bucks, along with an aromatic sealant ie "gasket shellac" Properly check the cover for flatness at the parting surfaces (both housing and cover) Clean both surfaces clean smooth and shiny, glue it together, fill with oil, never think about it again for the life of your truck. The oil in there now probably came from the factory in 2001. TEN years past. Just do it.
