GM made it easy to change radiator on an s-1o. You dont even have to remove the fan. Radiator came with new connections for trans cooler, but not for oil cooler. But doesn't matter, because the new connections are poorly milled anyway. Burrs left on the groove for the ring clip prevent the hose from going in all the way. Used all the connections from my old radiator. But you can't beat the price.

Replaced rusty dry original radiator in '96 Chevy to get another 50k or more miles and preserve an new installed transmission that relies on its radiator cooling. Simply pop off 4 Xmission line clips and replug lines into new unit.

This is a great priced item that I replaced in my s10. Was very easy to install and matched perfect. If your looking to replace a cracked or gunked up radiator this is the cheapest way to go.I would say look at the size of your metal in your current vehicle and match it up with what your buying.

Comments about Ready-Rad Radiator:
Some folks commented on having some difficulty in reconnecting the oil and transmission lines to the radiator. What worked for me was to totally remove both the top and bottom half of the plastic cowling. On my vehicle 2002 Blazer the bottom half snapped out with some persuading and could be removed through the bottom of the engine bay. Once I did this you were able to get a wrench on all four lines and remove the fittings from the radiator. After the radiator was out it was then very easy to pull the snap rings from the fittings and remove them from the lines. Look at the new radiator to see how the snap rings are installed. I used a dental pick for the job not sure if they make a tool for this but anything sharp will work. The new radiator had the fittings already installed and once I removed the new snap rings from the fittings I dropped the radiator into vehicle. Then it was easy to push the lines into the radiator and put the snap rings back in place. This is definitely something a DIY can do easily in a couple of hours. Also spend the 6 dollars on a new radiator cap.

“i have installed one in my blazer.my origional radiator normal oil pressure never exceeded 60 psi cold start while driving.after installing this one on cold start while driving it exceeds over 60 almost to 80 psi can this be from improper oil flow through the radiator. while warm it runs 40-60 psi 4.3 v6”1 answer

Brandon: The only thing I can think of is that possibly some debri got into the oil cooling line(s) between the removal and installation process. Maybe ..... maybe not. It would not hurt for you to disconnect the lines and blow through them, just to be sure. Don't forget to replace the oil filter afterwards. It surprises me that Mike (being an Advaced Auto employee) does not know what you are refering to. I don't mean to be critical, I'm just surprised. Yes, you do know what you are talking about - the oil as well as transmission fluid do run through the radiator. I mean, the lines DO attach to the radiator and ..... How else would the fluids cool? Good luck Blazer Guy.Q:

Oil does not flow through the radiator. Coolant/Anti-freeze flows through the radiator. I am having a hard time understanding what you mean with this post.
