this stuff works really well i used it on my trailer wireing connected and it cleaned it right up. i also used it on my headphone jack on my phone and it cleaned that out and made it work like new no more crackling and nonworking headphones
you can also use a little sand paper before this to lossen up corrosicn on the contacts

A fountain soda spilled onto the dash console of our 2011 Suburban, and most of the console's audio and climate control buttons are either stuck or very sticky when pressing. Will QD Electronic Cleaner by CRC Industries safely clean and remove sticky residue from the various audio and climate control buttons on the dash console of a 2011 Suburban without harming the finish of the dash console? Cleaning the throttle body itself can be done using carburetor fluid and a clean cloth for the removal of light sludge. If heavy sludge buildup is an issue, the throttle body must be removed, cleaned in a solvent and allowed to dry. During this process, the throttle position sensor should not be cleaned due to the possibility of contamination or wire damage. The best way to preserve the sensor is to remove and replace it after cleaning is finished.
