        I used it to undercoat the wheel wells for sound deadening purposes. There was some kind of undercoating applied by factory but it had worn off over the years. I used one can to undercoat the rear wheel wells (about two layers). It did make a difference, although it's probably not that dramatic. Planning to get another can to do the front wheel wells as well.

              Even after was able to dry for a week it chips easly. Ok for fender walls but not for surface you come in contact with. Used on most of truck n chips in door jam where feet touch

                  Used this undercoat on two of my vehicles, sprayed on nicely and coated well. However, make sure you shake can well as described. Also used this product as a pruning sealant on my trees.

                      Yes, you should be able to just apply this to a clean metal surface. As long as the surfaces are clean this should apply with no problem. Always do a test area of paint first to check compatibility of the paint with the surface.
