I have a known leak in my A/C system that emptied approximately 3 weeks since my last freon charge. In the middle of a hot humid 3 day trip to Niagara Falls, my A/C vents started blowing "hellfire." Tries to get this problem fixed at several road side towns were a waste of time..."sorry, you need an appointment." Frustrated and desperate, I pulled into a Advance Auto and the salesdude recommended AC Pro. I installed this stuff in the parking lot and in less than 10 mins I was back on the highway in A/C heaven. Note: My previous A/C charge (lasted 3 weeks) was done by a reputable shop in Long Island...they injected dye to detect the leak. My "desperate" charge with A/C Pro is going on 4 weeks with no signs of leakage...still seeing green and bubble in sightglass. Don't know if it's the sealing properties of this stuff, but I'm a COOL happy dude!

Horrible product ... BUYERS BEWARE !!!! Relative and I walked in to purchase a recharge kit .I have been a mechanic for over 8 years and used the old style recharge blue hose and have done this more than a dozen times ... and somehow I got talked into buying this product by the sales guys
I figured its the same thing no big deal only in a new version made of plastic with a gauge that didnt even work .. when I tried to recharge the vehicle as soon I started to screw in the recharge hose it started to leak all around the so called trigger handle and proceeded to leaking all over my hand ... quickly unplugged the can and put it in the trash can and wait for it to finish bleeding allover the trashcan .. when I went back to complain about the product I was told I did it wrong and didn't know what I was doing ... followed by the sales clerk saying I used too much force and broke the recharging hose ... I felt insulted so I demanded a refund and bought at another parts store ... second and last time I go to advance auto parts for anything .

I have a 1990 Volvo 240DL, bought new in Dec. 1989. It was changed to a R134a system several years ago, and to my surprise it worked better. Still not very good, the system labored in our Florida summers. I bought the A/C Pro kit and followed their directions. The A/C now works better than it ever has. Sometimes I have to turn down the A/C. This product really works as advertised.

Works great for filling/recharging system. Easy to use. However, less than a day later the system was empty. Had to use the Super Seal (by Interdynamics) to repair system.

Finally, truth in advertising! A/C Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant with Gauge and Hose actually works and is very easy to use. There is even a short instructional video that is available for viewing. It took about 10 minutes from start to finish to recharge my ac using this product. Now, my air is as cold as can be again! Doing it myself saved me lots of money since most service stations around here have a high hourly labor charge, not to mention the cost of their products. Thank you!

Yes, the AC Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant with Gauge and Hose (20 oz.) - Part No. ACP-100 works on your 1996 Lexus LS 400 . Instructions on using the refrigerant is as follows: Turn the valve handle of the charging kit counterclockwise until the piercing stem is in the up position. This will prevent accidentally piercing the can. Screw the charging kit onto the can. Attach the quick connect fitting to the low side service port. Start engine and put A/C settings on maximum cool with the fan settings on high. Turn the valve handle clockwise until the piercing stem has punctured the can. Turn the valve counterclockwise until you feel the refrigerant leaving the can. See packaging for complete details. Always wear protective gloves and eye-wear.
