Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
All holes matched perfectly. The entire job takes about an hour. Greatest care is needed in taking the door panel off but it is not difficult.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
This assembly was incredibly easy to install. What seemed like a daunting task of replacing my broken power window assembly only actually took me about 30 minutes...and that was only because I was taking my time! Heck, cleaning the residue from the duct tape that held my window up took longer than the installation! Awesome product!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
Website did not clearly specify whether this was a front or rear operator. The cost is different for these and it would help if it was clear when ordering. No big deal, all went well and the store personnel were cery helpful.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
OEM like fit and it works as advertised. It is made in Taiwan while the OEM version is made in USA with a Bosch motor. It is not flimsy but noticably not as thick. The metal and plastic connectors, cables are notvas solid compared OEM but for [$], I can't complain too much since OEM is about $260.

Great Price, Speedy Delivery. Many other reviews state that it takes 15-20 minutes to install. Thats just not true. The truth is that it's a great product and takes about 45 minutes.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
Product was a perfect fit from the mounting bolts to the wiring harness. Window had dropped halfway down and new regulator/motor fixed the problem. Over a year later, it works perfectly! I recommend this product to save you a bundle with your own repair. Make sure you are clear on how to disassemble door panel. You don't want to make more problems for yourself. Good luck and happy driving!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:
Driver's side window stuck during frozen rain. When I tried to let it down, a plastic piece on the regulator broke. I couldn't get the window to go down. Ordered a regulator/motor assembly from AAP. Very affordable after using coupon codes. Had to tape the window up to frame when installing new part. It would have been easier if we could have had window down. The part was very easy to install. You do need very good light to see when installing. The part fit and works great.

Q:
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WITH CORE OR WITHOUT CORE?I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING THAT PART, BOTH HAVE SAME PART NUMBER1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The part with core is a remanufactured one and the part without core is a brand new one.Q:
How hard is it to change out?3 answers
A:
The Haynes repair manual has absolutely NOTHING of value when it comes to the electronic windows. If you want to double check, borrow it from the library - otherwise, save yourself the money and google directions.A:
I opened up my door after my window fell and scratched my head. My mechanic did not call me back. I found a video on youtube for my 2003 Dakota which showed how to remove the door panel (phillips head), the wires to disconnect for the mirror, door locks and windows, and undo the door latch and lock, and remove the water barrier. Those were the hardest parts. The video also showed to have the window down to unbolt it from the bracket (10mm socket). Easy job and I am far from a mechanic. Dealer wanted over $225 just for the part, but I already knew they were far less expensive when I was looking for a how to video. If I can do it, so can you.CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.Q:
I just purchased this part and installed it but the window is not going all the way up. Is there something I can do to adjust the window on the track? Does the 2000 Dakota use a sash system for this type of adjustment?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For step by step instructions i recommend that you go to your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and purchase a repair manual.Q:
Regarding window regulators - when it says front left I assume that is the drivers window. Is that correct?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes that is correct. Front left is the drivers window.
