Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Power Steering Pump Pulley:
the pully seems to be made from a carbon/plastic composit so don't try prying on it ( very easy to chip the pully). the worst part about this particular part ( pressed fit) is the nut and bold they give you to use as a press, I broke off the bolt well befor the pully was seated and ended up removing reminates of said bolt with a pair of vicegripswith that being said you must also note that just the tension of the belt was not enough to hold it in place to tighten it ( ratchet, wrench, binders ( to stop pully rotation), amoung other things all simotaniously used... the pully is fine, instalation is a royal bleep

Q:
How do you remove the pulley and what tools are needed? Also how do you remove the power steering pump?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, you would be needing a special pulley removal kit like the Autocraft Power Steering Pulley Pump Kit (Part No. AC525/W87022). The bolts that hold the pump to the bracket are behind the pulley, and the bracket also only has an opening sufficient for the pump shaft to stick through, so the pulley has to come off in the car, and then be pressed back on in the car.Q:
Hi, what holds the pully on and is it hard to put new pully on pump shaft?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.Q:
does this pulley have to be pressed onto the pump shaft? if so what is the correct procedure?1 answer

If the pulley is bad, it can cause all of those things to happen.Q:
is this pulley plastic or metal2 answers
A:
Its more than likely PLASTIC and made in China, like the one sold by a national chain than begins with an N and ends with an A. They are not worth a piece of feces and will break just by thinking about it.
