Comments about Fenco Power Steering Pump:
This power steering pump fits our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country mini-van. I had to hire a pro to put this in (it's not an amatueurs job , trust me ) I started too, but realized I'd better get a professional. He installed it and it works great.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The power steering pump may be the possible cause of the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.Q:
my van has a whinning noise from the stering I have chaecked the fluid but it is full it is worse in the colder temperatures is this the pump that is bad or ?????4 answers

A:
It does sound as though the pump is going bad.A:
My van has the same problem.(2003, 55k) Two different mechanics worked on it and both said that these older models "whine" and there is nothing you can do. The second guy flushed the system and filtered the fluid but it didn't make much of a difference. Frustrated. Considering replacing the pump on my own.A:
Most dodge/chrysler mini vans have an issue with the power steering resivor. If you replace the pump your most likely wasting your time. buy a new resivor from your local dodge chrysler dealer and the whinning noise will go away. And another note make sure your are use ATF+4 transmission fluid Instead of power steering fluid.A:
