Prevents leakage and squealing under severe conditions. Protects against pump breakdown caused by wear, oxidation and foaming. Effective in high and low temperatures. Performs in subzero temperatures to insure cold weather performance. Will not clog or foam. Helps prevent corrosion, wear and oxidation. Use year-round. Meets GM part number 1050017 (Spec. 9985010), Chrysler Spec. 5931, Ford Spec. and M2C128C & D. Use the fluid recommended in the owner's manual. Some power steering units are designed to use transmission fluid, while others are designed to use power steering fluid. • Q:

is this fluid compatible with Dexron II or III ?
          Asked on 6/3/2010 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • A:

Not compatible. Dexron is an automatic transmission fluid (ATF)- different than power steering (PS) fluid. However, some PS systems use ATF (particularly, most Fords use Mercon ATF. There are other examples). Read your manufacturer's requirements carefully.
