Great belt. I have only one belt in my Truck (2007 Chevy Colorado) so i wanted the best. This is what my local advance had for me and it works like it should. I put it in with help from my cousin and it's been over a month without any sound what so ever. I replaced my belt at 50,000 miles which is early but again I only have one belt and thats not a lot to pay for piece of mind. Great belt and not my first by this company. I used them in my Saturns i owned as well. If you get a belt by Dayco and you have trouble you might want to have your car or truck checked out because these belts just don't wear out prematurely. I have owned a few over the years.

Barely last 14 months before replacement

Wear out just after 12 month warranty. Looking for a better replacement. Not worth the money.

Comments about Dayco Poly Rib Poly-Rib® Belt:

I struggled over whether to spend the extra couple dollars on the Dayco or to buy one of the cheapie belts. Once I received this, I knew I made the right choice. It is of a higher quality rubber and feels more substantial. The warranty is also better. I would make the same choice in the future.

This was hard to install, partly because of how it had been packaged. It kept turning inside out because of where the folds were when shipped.

This will not fit a 2003 Trailblazer EXT. with 4.2L The correct belt for the 4.2L EXT is 5060905 Dayco. This is a shorter belt. The longer one will slip and make power steering pump knock.

                    A:

You will not need a special tool. You will only need a socket set and a long handle socket wrench, or a piece of pipe placed over the handle of the socket wrench give you better leverage when you relieve the belt tensioner.
