2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT
The main gasket fit fine, but the included EGR valve gasket (smaller one) was useless as it was too narrow and did not fit. I had to buy that directly from the dealer and probably would have been better off buying gasket set from dealer. It would have saved me time and frustration.

Good quality replacement. This was my second one because you have to replace it every time you do a tune up on my car. First one never leaked. Fit perfectly. Good quality item.

A:
I doubt it. All it does is seal the upper and lower intake manifolds. It has nothing to do with the coolant. It will cause your car to run poorly though (lean).Answered on 12/1/2010 by MitsuGT from CTCUSTOMER CARE

Yes it is possible that a bad plenum gasket to cause a car to overheat. It is more likely to be a bad head gasket.Answered on 8/31/2010 by Kevin from AAP
