The plugs worked only okay for a little while. Then the 4.3L V-6 in my Chevy 1500 pickup started running rough after about 25,000 miles and I pulled a plug, and they were already needing to be replaced. The 4 prongs allows carbon to easily collect which led to plug fouling and bad spark. I took my truck to the shop and the mechanic told me to replace them with AC Delco Iridiums. I did so and the Iridiums put these to shame. Save the trouble and go with AC Delco Iridiums from the beginning.

do not buy these if you have a gm, 2003 blazer, threw a code, made the engine tick, lost serious mpg, swapped with ac delco, tick went away, and code cleared itself, disappointed in bosch, will not be buying anything they make for my truck again.

Comments about Bosch Platinum+4 Spark Plug:
I had the Bosch Platinum-2 in my truck before, but after nearly a year and a half they were starting to wear out. I wanted more power, but needed better mileage. With prices in my area hovering just under $4 a gallon, any way to get more power but keep my gas mileage the same or better was huge. The Platinum+4 has given me that.
I've noticed a better acceleration, a quicker start, and a more complete fuel burn. Not to mention, better mileage. I'd say this was a good buy.

i'm thinking of trying these in my 1996 buick sta-wag,i've owned 3 buicks with this engine and got 25-27 mpg, but this one only about 18 mpg,i've done all the regular stuff when milage drops off,ie: fuel filters, air filters, tire pressure, new tires, etc, made no difference.i now have 94k on it so its time for plugs anyway.any advice is appreciated and any opinions on these plugs.1 answer
