Factory intake on the 2007 Crown Victoria was leaking from bottom of thermostat housing. Suspected cracked composite OE intake. While it's off replace it with the Dorman piece. Still a plastic but will outlast my ownership of the car and it has a limited lifetime warranty. Replacement o-rings are available and the fit and quality is great! BONUS: used an Advance Autoparts promo code and got $49 off and a $25 gift card! Service at the store was great. You can get this intake at other places but price, service and piece of mind knowing you got a great deal are bliss!

This item appears to be an improvement over the original in that the front of the intake is aluminum and not plastic like the original. The fit is good and less bulky than the original. The only down side to this replacement is the new alternator bracket which doesn't have bolts for the engine cover or a bolt for the cruise control cable support. I was able to drill a hole in the new bracket and take the bolt from the original bracket in order to support the cruise control cable. Other than that it's a good replacement.

The updated alt. bracket does not include the studs to hold down the front of the engine cover.
Had to use zip ties instead of the original mounting nuts. Otherwise a I would have given 5 stars

Installed on a 2003 Police Package Vic with 4.6 V8. Fits perfectly. Took about 2 hours to remove and 1&1/2 hours to install but I'm not a mechanic either so I took it slow and followed a few Youtube videos and a Haynes manual. I was surprised how well it went! TK
