I have a rebuilt 1984(ish) 454cu in running in a 1984 C30 chevy that I use to haul skidsteers and other heavy items. The 4-speed is geared low with a granny gear. Here is my question: I noticed Edelbrock makes several carbs in the 14xx line. I have ordered the 1411 (750 cfm) but I am not sure this is the best choice for my situation. I see that there is another 750 cfm but it has "small" primary ports. Can you help me in examining the key differences in the performer series.Is this the correct series for my situation?Asked on 6/11/2012 by pairodocs1 answer

As per Edelbrock, for a Chevrolet 454 CI V8 (1965-1990) 600-800 cfm (D) is the carburetor or throttle body size. This Edelbrock Performer Series Carb (Part No. 1411) is a 750 cfm carburetor and it should be the ideal part.
