Q:
my pcv valve sounnd like a cow bell as it warmns up . anmy body out there have this problem1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Some of the visible symptoms of a malfunctioning PCV valve include the presence of oil in the vehicle's air filter housing or air filter, as well as oil leaking around seals and gaskets on the engine due to increased crankcase pressure. You can remove and inspect the PCV valve by shaking the part back and forth. If the PCV valve is malfunctioning or becomes clogged, you will hear no sound when you remove and shake it. A functional PCV valve should make a rattling noise if shaken. A driver operating a vehicle with a malfunctioning PCV valve may notice rough engine idle or stalling at idle, as well as a decrease in engine performance including poor fuel economy, slower acceleration and an overall loss of power. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.Q:
Where is the pcv valve located on a 2.4l caravan 19981 answer

A:
The PCV valve will normally be located on the valve cover of most engines. You will see a large hose connected to the valve inserted in a rubber grommet. This will be running from the valve cover to the intake box or intake manifold.Q:
Does the pcv valve cause your engine to run rough and shut off on you?It starts right back up but when it does it,it sounds like there is something sucking alot of air to keep the motor running?1 answer
