This filter was for my wife's Ford Edge after getting an oil change, the kid told me that we needed a new air filter at the tune of $30. I have a K and N filter in my car and love the fact that it can be easily and effectively cleaned, seems to promotes slightly better air flow and that it uses more than just cotton to stop debris from getting into my engine. At [$] I could have those benefits and never have to hear that oil change kid try to upsell me or my wife ever again, I feel like it is completely worth it. I wouldn't get carried away about more horsepower, torque or engine sounds. They will be marginal gains at best. The real value is having a really effective filter protecting your engine and not have to hear people tell you that you need a new air filter everytime you have a car repair. Also, this K and N is extremely easy to install and will make you feel like you know about cars when you install it. And check your cabin air filter while you are at it, mine was filthy in about the same time frame as the one on the intake.

I have been using K&N filters for over 30 years and I will never go back to another type. These filters work and are easy to clean. I have used them on steet vehicles as well as off road vehicles requiring high volumes of air. I have used them on carbureted and injected engines with fantastic results.

Im driving a 2011 Ford Flex SE, and was wondering about the K&N Air Filter. Will I be able to just "pull" out the air filter in my vehicle and replace it with the K&N? Or is there something else I would have to buy...Asked on 3/12/2013 by Nate from Odenton, MD1 answer
