A simple performance upgrade by K & N Engineering.
This reusable multi-fiber high density cotton gauze air-filter provides optimum flow under the most demanding conditions. The flat panel filter has a durable polyurethane filter media binding and a thick sealing gasket base. Depending on your use, an occasional dab of sealing grease by K&N may be needed.
Although it may seem a pricey purchase, this product will pay for itself over the long run. K&N provides a million mile warranty, so this may be the last air filter you need over the life of your vehicle.
It is an ecological alternative to single use disposable air filters.

I like these filters because I only have to buy one.never have to replace it. I live on a dirt road,and I clean it once or twice a year. I've been buying them for years for my vehicles and they always fit well and I notice a slight gain in power..mostly when accelerating on the expressway. I've never seen a fuel milage gain..but never a loss either. so all that being equal, this filter will pay for itself in a couple years saving me the cost of buying a paper one for 15-20 bucks a whack twice a year. I think that alone makes them worth it. A recharge kit will last for a couple years.

Easy to install but I'm disappointed with it so far on my 2011 Ford f150 crew cab fx4. My MPG Got 2 mph worse.

Ease of Install-Best way is to loosen clamp at Air duct and pull it off the airbox to lift lid back over towards engine!

I just recently started getting into automotive work. I asked around for little things here and there that one can do to improve performance. Friends recommended the air filter and they recommended K&N. It took me no more than five minutes to install it and right away I noticed the difference in power. My truck no longer sounds like it's wheezing or struggling. It blasts off and before I know it, I'm hitting 70 on the highway. I'm more than pleased with this filter and the fact that I never have to buy a new one thanks to K&N's million mile guarantee is reassuring.
