I purchased this air filter for my 2002 Ford Escape v6 to replace the old one. As part of my ongoing preventative maintenance plan for the Escape I change the air filter every 20K miles. Compared with other air filters I have purchased for the Escape, I found the Purolator filter to be of higher quality construction. The Purolator filter fit snugly in the Escape air intake box while others I have tried appeared to have a slight gap between the filter and the intake box walls. I would recommend this air filter.
