      worth it

I've used other, more costly tools, and they've failed. This off-set O2 socket is the best I've workd with so far. It might be cheaper, but surely not in quality.

My O2 sensor was a bit too tight, and this thing broke! Why don't they make these things out of steel or something?! See the picture to see how it broke.

Worked as needed, maybe not as good as the professional grade, but it has lifetime warranty, and it got the job done.

Comments about Autocraft Oxygen Sensor Socket:

This will get the job done. Only thing you'll want to watch out for is making sure the socket is well seated on the O2 sensor. Otherwise there's a good chance you'll strip the O2 sensor to hell. I suggest using rust breaker spray if you're working on O2 sensors that have been in place for anything more than a couple days. I used this to pull the O2 sensors off of my two precats and had little trouble with a healthy soaking of rust remover and a 18" breaker bar. I'd recommend this as a good tool to have in your toolbox.

Comments about Autocraft Oxygen Sensor Socket:

For years I used a wrench to remove my O2 sensors, but ran into a really difficult one in a really tight spot, so I finally purchased this tool and it made that job much easier. I think this tool should be in every mechanic's tool chest. I'd recommend it to friends and strangers.

Note: Sometimes you may run into a really stubborn sensor, so you may need to apply some oil and may even need to put some heat on it to get the sensor loose. Also, I always put antiseize on the 02 sensor threads and all threads for that matter, especially on bolts under the car so the next removal is always easier. These are things that some inexperienced DIY Mechanics may not know to do and end up damaging parts.

Comments about Autocraft Oxygen Sensor Socket:

Don't know what others here had a hard time with... I had a very stubborn O2 sensor that ran on the upper part of my VW GTIs exhaust (with the sensor end pointing directly downward). Sprayed some PB blaster, let it sit and went to town with the pry bar. Socket was even cocked quite a bit because it was in such a difficult place. If you're somewhat mechanically inclined, you won't strip the sensor...
