I went ahead and bought a 5/8 "padded" socket and a little packet of anti-seize when I picked up my spark plugs. The socket was only a dollar but its help was priceless. I heard of many people having their spark plugs brake when extracting them but I had no problems at all. They all came out in one piece and with little effort. The only one I had trouble with was the back one on the passenger side. The socket wouldn't sit right over the plug because I guess water seeped in there and under the ignition coil over time and formed some sort of crust on top of the spark plug. I simply chipped at it with a screwdriver a little and the problem was solved.

Placed online order and was given wrong part information. Checked availlability at local store and was told they had 26 on hand but when I got to the store to exchange for correct part they only had 4 on hand but still showed 8 (which is how many I needed ). Had to go to another parts store in the area to get parts which were cheaper. I have in the past had good experience with advance auto but this time I was disappointed.

I used these plugs on my 2002 GT Mustang and they were great! Besides the furthest back plugs, they were so simple to replace! These may be original equipment plugs, but they give you the reliability and knowledge that you are getting a great product! I am a daily casual driver, and the mustang wasn't used for any racing, but when i replaced the original OEM plugs with the new Motorcraft plugs, i noticed a difference right away. My car started easier in the colder wisconsin weather, and actually saw a slight improvement in my gas mileage!

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Single Platinum Spark Plug:
I always use OEM replacement plugs. I can't stress how important it is on an unmodified engine. They were engineered to work perfectly on the engine it was intended for. I never go over 30K on a set of plugs either. I disagree with the manufacturer that a set of plugs will last 100K. It's how I make lot's of money when they become part of your head due to unlike metals fusing together with corrosion. Always use a very small amount of anti-seize on threads only, and they will come right out when it's time.

These are the original sparks plugs that came with the car so, I thought it would be better to buy these instead of another brand. So far, so good, I can already tell the diffence in peformance.

They were quite easy to install with no problems encountered. I ade the right choice ging with Motorcraft spark plugs.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Single Platinum Spark Plug:
Well, the product is very good. Only the install was difficult. This is due to the placement of the spark plugs on the engine. Also being in a van, not much room to work with. Other than that, very happy with purchase.

I like doing it myself (ie) new rotors pads rear shocks, plugs coils. Saves a bundle over dealer markup and high labor cost

Q:
I bought these this weekend for my 2005 Lincoln Navigator after the site indicated they were an exact match for my vehicle. The plugs are NOT a match, the engine (the only engine option available for this model year) requires the HIGH thread plugs. Why does your site have the erroneous information? FYI... I was able to return the unused plugs for a full refund with no issues - kudos to your in-store customer service.1 answer
