    It ended up being the wrong seal for what I was using but upon inspection it looks like a very nice seal for the money! Looks as good as OEM!

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      These descriptions are god awful, do you mean the back of the transfer case or the back of the transmission? because the tranfer case output splines to the rear driveshaft.

        This should go at the end (backside) of the transmission.

        I believe this seal goes at the very end of a Powerglide transmission and seals the trans to the yoke, just before the drive shaft. The surface of the yoke should be pristine no scratches if scored it will tear up the seal.
