The Purone filter I believe is one of the best filters available. It has a textured finish that allows for a good grip installing with or with out wrench. It also helps keep the oilfilter wrench from slipping when removing from the motor. I use this brand on everything from my trucks, cars, mowers to all terrain vehicles. I have used this filter for a few years after reading positive reviews from other web sites.
I haven't found anything not so great about it. It does its job, its fairly economical.

After installing this PureONE filter along with 5w30 Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic Oil in the wife's 2007 Toyota Prius with 130K miles, I have noticed that the oil is significantly 'cleaner' (amber color) after almost 3K miles! This filter unbelievably outperformed other filters I have used that were much more expensive, such as Mobil1 and Amsoil!! It's only been about 3K miles with this filter, so I cannot speak for it's longevity, but all I know is that the oil is 'cleaner' with this filter at 3K than any others! Even if I replace it every 3K instead of every 15K like the Mobil1 and the Amsoil filters, it's still piece of mind knowing that you're extending the life of your engine! Now I can't wait to install this on my 2011 Dodge Charger R/T (AWD w/Max package)!

This is the only oil filter I use, I have read reviews and tests on oil filters and this is the filter that is consistently high scoring with one of the better prices. Purolator PureONE is the way to go.
