I used this product in my gen3 Toyota Camry. I couldn't even tell the difference between this brand of oil versus the next. The recycled oil in this product goes through the same amount of filtering and tests as Valvoline's regular oil. I have no complaints about this, since my car isn't complaining and neither is my wallet.

I have used valvoline My whole life and had worked their at one point. I have used the following oil. When I was young n dumb I used their conventional Oil. Just the same as any other oil out their except with out detergent in it. When I got smart I tried their dura-blend in my next car. NO Problems. Wife's car I used Full synthetic oil I again never had problems with in the engine. My car got above 80,000 I switched mine to Max- Life. I had No Problems. But I decided in my new car to try the NEXT-GEN Oil's Now my truck is knocking and is sluggish. I get that Recycling is good but only if it can be effective all the way around. I feel as if they rushed out this product. Again This is just my opinion.

Comments about Valvoline NextGen NextGen 5W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (5 Plus Quarts Jug):
I bought this NextGen conventional oil because it was on sale and I felt the need to hug a tree, but mainly because it was on sale. I typically don't get conventional oil, because when I get a vehicle, it has over 75000 miles and I go with high mileage oil (I like the synthetic blend properties). I'm all about the environment (as much as the next guy), but gave this a try. I saw no improvement or decline in performance. I would recommend this if you love trees and whales and if it's on sale.

Comments about Valvoline NextGen NextGen 5W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (5 Plus Quarts Jug):
Purchased to go in my car during routine oil change. Nice to get namebrand oil so I have confidence in the quality. Purchased a quality oil filter along with it so that I could maximize the cleanliness of the overall oil change. Should be good for the 5000 miles between recommended oil changes by the vehicle manufacturer. Large container is a little awkward when putting the oil in but that is partly because of the way the oil opening is located on my vehicle. (It is even awkward with a one quart container.)

Just started using it but seems to work just fine. The price after rebate is great and if is a bit better for the environment, win-win.

Was skeptical at first of "used" oil. Come out of container nice and clean. Would not be able to tell the difference in a side by side comparison of "new" oil. No problems yet!

Comments about Valvoline NextGen NextGen 5W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (5 Plus Quarts Jug):
I believe we need to find new ways to recycle used motor oil and other products. Not only to control our dependency on foreign oil, but I think it just makes common sense. I think recycling motor oil for use in cars is a great start and hope other manufacturers' will follow suit and find cleaner ways to manufacture and recycle products to keep the enviroment cleaner. I have not seen any research about this product, but the Vavoline name gave me the confidence to try there recycled oil product. So far the results have been great.

Recycled oil is as good as the original once it is rerefined. We need this in order to stop depleting the limited fossil fuels remaining and to cut down on waste.
