This is more of a review of Advanced auto parts than the actual part. I bought the water pump in may of 2011 and the part actually failed. The craziest thing happened, I went to start my car and the pully snapped clean off! So I called the store I purchased it at, they took my number and verified the warrenty and are replacing it at no charge, sucks I have to change it again, but this is also why I "only" go to Advanced Auto for parts.

My friend who is a GM mechanic installed the water pump. He commented it looked as good as the GM factory pump which cost 4 times more. It was the only pump in that price range that was made in the USA. The quality looked really good. Hopefully it will last as long as the original.

Bought it for my '99 Olds. The last bolt gave me issues, but after removing the power steering pump everything was easy. Buy a better gasket, the one that comes with the pump is cheep, and use high tack gasket sealer to make the job easier. All in all it is a good pump and, I have had no problems after I installed it.

The power steering pump must be moved out of the wat to access this bolt. On my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix there are 3 holes in the power steering pump pulley that allow access to two mounting bolts holding the steering pump in place.
