Perfect fit, easy to install, all parts included. Easy job except removing the fan blade, would have been nice to have been forewarned by the store/online/or installation instructions as to how to remove the fan. Turns out a specific tool is needed, causing another trip to borrow the right one to complete the change out.

Comments about GMB New Water Pump:

I needed to replace my leaking, OE water pump quickly, as I had almost pure water in my system & the weather was forecast to drop into the single digits for the next few days. Advance Auto Parts had this replacement unit in stock at my local store, so I ordered it online, picked it up later that day, & installed it that night. In addition, I also "borrowed" their clutch fan removal tool which worked like a charm.

                          • A:

You don't have to remove the fan clutch, you need a big adjustable wrench or a 1 7/16 open end wrench to remove the big nut on the back of the clutch that holds the fan/clutch assembly on. The belt will slip, so you either need a long rod to brace one of the pulley bolts on, or a pry bar to hold the pulley while you break the big nut loose.

The amount of money you will pay to have the water pump replaced will depend on the machanic you take it to. If you would like to replace it yourself you can visit your local Advance Auto Parts store and purchase Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle. The book will direct you step by step with detailed instructions on how to replace any part on your vehicle. The book will also inform you of what tools you will need to complete the task.
