I purchased this online and never having done this type of mechanical work was a little scared of maybe screwing up something, but low and behold picked up the cv joints at an Advance store at which I normally shop at and the entire process was actually pretty cool. The removal of the old cv joints was a bogger but I keep with it until i got them off. I would recommend anyone with any mechanical aptitude to do this as you save yourself a few hundred dollars. And shopping online with Advance is really quite easy maybe better than shopping in the store.

This shaft looks good out of the box, but once installed the outer boot will poop off the CV joint. This is not the correct boot for this shat and joint. Someone else had the same problem above this comment. Instead of bringing the shaft back, I repositioned the boot further up the CV joint and re clamped the boot, there is a groove for the lip of the boot to sit in. Once this is done I no longer experienced any problems. Now my left outer boot broke and that one is less than a year old from the same manufacture, its a never ending job!

1st left axel shattered, 2nd squeeked, 3rd so far so good ( 1- week ). When I returned 2nd axel store Mngr. told me no more warranty. I had to go to a 2nd store to buy third axel. That store had a missed boxed part. 3rd store had correct part. Returns are credit only, not exchange, at 1 point I had over $200 waiting to be credited to my plastic. What's up with that policy ??????

Outer boot like the other review, does not have enough billows. The boot is fully stretched out when car is turned to full lock. It angers me how this could get past quality control of any manufacture. Made copy of receipt so hopefully the problem will be resolved before the new one fails.

Installation wasn't too bad. I just removed the caliper and rotor, removed the strut (You do not need to compress it if you are just taking the whole assembly out) then I just wiggled till I had enough room to get the bad one out and the new one in. With lifetime warranty you can't go wrong.

Haynes manual....they make one for every car. Not terribly difficult but it will depend on the car. On mine I just removed the caliper and rotor (you will need an air gun with the proper nut size for your hub) Then I removed the strut, and wiggled the shaft out. Be careful not to pull too hard so that it leaves one half in the tranny, cause then its a pain to get out. Make sure to pull from the transmission so that doesn't happen.
