For a more accurate answer, can you provide the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle.A:
I just did the timing belt replacement on my 05 Dodge Neon SXT (2.0L) and I can say this is a pain in the butt to get to in a home garage. I used the old block of wood on a floor jack method and dropped the engine for the lower timing case and then jacked it up a little for the upper bolts on it. You have to remove the timing case to get to it which means you have to take out everything on that side even the power steering. Then remove the cover on the passenger side wheel well and take the nut off and it's tricky to pull the actual mount out working around the engine, but after a few minutes of trying this and that, I got it. I definately recommend getting the Chilton's guide or whatever book you prefer. I had to take the crankshaft pulley off for the timing cover too, and the easiest way to do this is to check out the special tool (looks like a harmonic balancer, but ask em @Advance) so you don't wind up stripping it. You'll need the book for details to get it back on too.G'luck!Q:
