Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:
I agree with Stan's review. Anchor makes a decent motor mount but in this case it is based on GM's flawed 2nd design. GM has dropped the 2nd design and has gone back to the first design. All dealers only sell the 1st design. DEA Products Inc. makes an aftermarket 1st design motor mount part#A2827HD I wish more auto parts stores would sell this mount.

Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:
I replaced my engine mount with this on my 99 Saturn SL1 earlier this year but it broke within a few months.
It was easy to install and it fits my car perfectly, but since it doesn't last long, I won't be buying this one again.

Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:
Plates were not stacked properly. Had to break out the dremel to widen the bolt holes so I could install the mount. Rubber looks soft and prone to collapse. Not many options available to me, so I took this one.

Easy To Install
Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:
This product is the cheap "frown" style (look at the picture) replacement, not the solid body mount that is current OEM quality.
This mount will install correctly, and you will notice a great improvement if you replace a worn mount with it. The problem is, this style of mount is poor design and will not last. Under normal conditions, you can expect to get about a year out of it. If you are a high mileage or "spirited" driver, expect to be up for a replacement in a matter of months. If you are looking for a more permanent repair, buy a solid mount from a dealer. I also know of other stores that offer the solid mount, and I hope that Advance Auto also starts to offer mounts with OEM quality. There are those of us who are of the "fix it right and forget it" mind.
Please, also check your other mounts. If the others are worn and not replaced, it will just decrease the life of this mount. The other reviewer is also correct that you should reset the engine torque strut mount.

Make sure to loosen and tighten the the two frame bolts to the dog bone engine mount on the bottom of the engine AFTER installing the new mount. This allows any needed shifting from installation of the new upper mount.

Nice to be able to get a mount easily. Video's on you-tube made installation incredibly easy. Car feels much better with a functioning motor mount!
